Since i havent seen the page update for a long time for Heroes and Soulbound weapons. im cracking down some images and info from the apk to apply or send in as info to be applied. Would that be okay? New to wikia and it deaden's me to see this wiki sit and rot c:
Thanks very much for your opinion. I think you got a good point on the categories of the Quests. Please allow me to reply you in below:
Since the Wikia Navigation is limited to the level and the section, and those Side Quest are in the same page, I believe there is a reason to do so. We could discuss about how they are showed in the future.
According to the page of Main Quests, I think I could do something minor for a better display with your point. Since the max page of tabview is just released last week, I could change the list of location to be a tabview in 5 pages. However, the final decision should be on #ForgottenSteeds. Please take a look of the new look.
Please keep surfing the wikia and posting the suggestion with us.
Did you mean to move the Epic into one of section of Side Quests? As I checked the history of the Side Quests, the Epic Quests has already been there since the first day. In addition, the information of Epic is as much as 3 quests, I dont see it necessary to combine into one.
Although the Wikia Navigation is limited to the level, there are only 3 types of quest on the 3rd level at the moment. The limit is 4*7*10. I believe we are fine to have two pages for now. Maybe we could do it when there are too many sections of quests.
Thanks very much for your opinions. We appreciated of your point of view, and we would like to hearing from you again.
As written below about the latest updates and current events as looks as PAD one, I could give a hand for that: Crusaders Quest Chinese Wiki. Also, some of you may be busy, I could update the news or status about the game on the main page for you. I need to update the Chinese one anyways. Since its locked, please unlock the main page or give me the permission for that.
Did you format the Chinese wiki's front page format? We've had vandalism problems so I'm more inclined to give you admin. I tried to do latest patch notes, but as you can see, the current front page template isn't exactly great for that.
I did format the Chinese Wiki. Actually, that is a problem for me that am doing the wikia all by myself.
As for the format of the patches, I tried to do the same as yours. However, I believe that will be too long for front page. We could delete some old notes instead, but it loses tracking of the updates. Finally it changes to the way it is to display the news and patches, bloglist. More details, please visit: Help:Blogs/Bloglist
To format the way of bloglist to diplay, we got to use CSS for that. Please visit the Chinese Wiki's CSS about CSS styles for bloglist.
Everything that I can help, please just leave me a message
In terms of patch notes, I think it would be cool if we just kept the latest set on the front page. A template or some method to easily type them up would be great. I think anything longer than that would be too much, so any older sets should be moved to another section, whether that be the blogslist or a patches section of some sort. What are your thoughts? Can you make it happen? Do you need anything else from me?
Here is the experience I had about the front page.
First, I found that too long will be a problem using the way as yours after 3 patches. Also, it doesnt look good on mobile (not Game Guides, try to address your front page with "?useskin=wikiamobile" after the link). I decided to re-design the front page with clean display, but more pictures for browsers. (still on-goin)
I have experience on another games that checking the old patches with clean display. I somehow dont like the idea of moving the old news to another article. I decided to make the notes individually.
I transcluded the individual notes on the front page with templates and found a problem about heading style, since the frontpage shows several articles and the articles are individual.
I also found a problem during the edit above. The Recent Activity shows the name of the front page too often, and I personally dislike it. I think the front page should never show on the Recent Activity. I then found about the bloglist way to update the "list of the patches" automatically without a click.
It finally became what it is now. A list of Patches and News at the top of the frontpage, using templates. The only problem of this is to MAKE a blog on time and the name of the topic. The bloglist sorts by the date of article created and the topic is un-changable or the date changes.
What I need from you is decide the way for our work. I am just a little helper, and I couldnt do much since the Chinese one is not fully completed. I will update the latest patch info and you decide what its going to be.
I've found a bunch of the hero images but I don't really want to start uploading them while were still doing the ID thing. There's only about 20 images uploaded so far and very few of the hero pages have IDs so it's not too late to turn back. My vote is to switch over to linking pages and hero images by their actual name.
Also, can you use your admin powers to activate the proper forums (it's on your admin dashboard under wiki features)? Posting on walls like this feels so noninclusive.
Let me check with Moda. But yeah I'm not too keen on the current front page either. I think it should be a quick summary, and have latest updates and current events, kinda like the PAD wikia. http://pad.wikia.com/wiki/Puzzle_%26_Dragons_Wiki I don't think it should have all the lists it has now.
